Sony Electronics Inc. has an excellent opportunity for a Senior Sales and Marketing Manager in our Digital Reading Business Division, based in San Jose, CA. The primary focus of this position will be a leadership role in the development and implementation of marketing tactics in order to increase customer activity and overall eBook sales of Sony's Reader Store. Responsibilities include campaign management activities such as email campaigns, targeted programs, awareness building, ROI tracking to support forecasting and planning activities, budget reporting and management, online SEM marketing, assistance with website management and tradeshow and event support. The role will also oversee the Reader Store merchandising team and will align merchandising and marketing objectives and campaigns.
Other responsibilities:
· Email Marketing campaigns
· Develop and manage cross-promotional marketing campaigns with internal stakeholders and third-parties
· Responsible for developing marketing plan and budgets on an annual basis
· Responsible for establishing analytics / dashboards, campaign analytics and distributing this information via regular reporting to all key stakeholders
· Set and communicate expectations, schedule and organize resources, manage deliverables and meet deadlines
· Establish working relationship cross-functionally to gather assets, business requirements, marketing goals and objectives, etc.
· Analysis of customer behavior, current market conditions and competitor information
* 5 years in a marketing position in the publishing, ecommerce or related field
* Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, Economics, Interactive Media or a related field or equivalent experience
* Demonstrated ability to achieve results from marketing campaigns
* Strong ability to build productive internal/external working relationships
* Proficient to expert experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate and present effectively, both verbally and in writing
* 40% travel required
