Japanese/English Translator/Interpreter
Location: San Francisco

The SNEI Entertainment Experiences Development Group is charged with delivering next-generation network entertainment experiences - across all media types (video, TV, music, games, and books) and across all devices (TV, web, tablets, game consoles, Blu-ray players and smartphones). Although focused on client experiences, the team also develops key service application components to deliver these new experiences. 

To help us build these next-generation services and experiences, we are looking for an experienced Translator with technical and video game experience to help increase clear communication between working groups in the US and Japan.

Responsibilities:
The Translator will work with internal development teams to:

* Read written materials such as email correspondence, design documents, Excel spread sheets, meeting notes, or PowerPoint presentations, and rewrite material into specified languages.
* Check original texts or confer with authors to ensure that translations retain the content, meaning, and feeling of the original material.
* Check translations of technical terms and terminology to ensure that they are accurate and remain consistent throughout translation revisions.
* Compile terminology and information to be used in translations, including technical terms and project specific terms.
* Proofread, edit, and revise translated materials.
* Refer to reference materials such as dictionaries, lexicons, encyclopedias, and computerized terminology banks as needed to ensure translation accuracy.
* Interpret messages simultaneously or consecutively into specified languages orally or IM, maintaining message content, context, and style as much as possible.
* Proactively identify and resolve conflicts related to the meanings of words, concepts, practices, or behaviors.
* Train and supervise other translators/interpreters.
* 5 years experience as a Translator/Interpreter
* Excellent business level Japanese and English language skills.
* Strong note taking and or shorthand skills
* Worked on a video game or network services development team

Producer/Platform UX

The Sr. QA Software Engineer will be part of newly formed Entertainment Cloud Software group responsible for delivering cloud centric software for Sony devices. QA Engineer

The QA Engineer is responsible for assuring the quality of Sony Network Entertainment (SNEI) internal and customer-facing applications using automation as well as manual black-box and gray-box testing techniques. Duties include trouble-shooting and resolving functional and unit test code, test environment and infrastructure issues, as well as working with test case management, issue tracking, source control, reporting, and other tools.

In the course of performing this function, the QA Engineer relies on his or her extensive background in software development, software testing, system administration, script automation, testing frameworks, and associated organizational processes.

The QA Engineer is a member of the QA team, reports to the Quality Assurance Project Lead, and collaborates closely with the Development team.
Requirements:
Execute, and maintain automation scripts using Selenium.
Develop, execute, and maintain manual tests.
Perform both black-box and gray-box testing of SNEI's internal and customer-facing applications by analyzing applications and requirements, and designing and executing test cases.
