Sony Creative Center San Francisco team is seeking a confident, personable, energetic, highly organized Senior Project Manager with deep knowledge of the design process to join our team. This position provides coordination, consolidation, and distribution of project/program information. Inputs, reviews and validates all required project and status data into PMO repository, tools, etc. Identifies project risks, reviews and obtains agreement with local stakeholders and monitors progress. The candidate will collaborate on the development and implementation of projects, help facilitate client & team meetings, create work plans & schedules, help craft and maintain project files.
Responsibilities
* Create the Project Plan(s), which includes a Project Scope Statement, Work Breakdown Structure, Schedule, Communication Plan and Risk Management Plan
* Track progress of the project(s), compare to original plan, work with team to take corrective action if the project is not tracking to plan and regularly communicate status to project stakeholders
* Actively execute the Project Plan(s) including managing project scope, completion of tasks, anticipating and managing project risks and ensuring a quality product is delivered to the internal client / project team's satisfaction on time and within budget
* Close-out the project by delivering all agreed upon deliverables, conduct a Project Retrospective, document Lessons Learned and communicate them to the appropriate audience within organization(s)
* Uses industry and institutional knowledge to positively influence other team members and role model best practices within the organization
* Discuss and work with Chief Art Director to escalate to the appropriate project stakeholder any information related to: increase or decrease in workflow, and projected staffing needs
* Monitor Group bandwidth and maximize efficiency across team resources
* Special projects as assigned, including strategic research and travel
* Minimum of 6 years of Project Management experience
* BA/BS degree or equivalent years of experience
* Must be wildly creative and obsessively meticulous
* Possess strong command of OmniPlan, MS Excel, MS Project and familiarity with enterprise project management applications
* Must have excellent interpersonal skills
* Superior written and verbal communication
* Must work collaboratively to develop project solutions
* Quick, creative problem solver, self-motivated, and organized
* Some budgeting experience in Production a plus
* Basic knowledge of disciplines within a digital agency a strong plus (e.g., UX, Web, Software UI, Industrial Design, Print, Type)
