Sr. ETL Engineer
San Diego
This position will provide data warehouse design integration ideas and prototypes for cross-functional and cross-regional business intelligence solutions.
* Responsible for assessing business requests to ensure the most efficient and effective architectural solutions are designed and implemented.
* Responsible for creating architectural drawings, documents, tactical and strategic reports templates, and for collaborating with development, project, and business focused teams.
* Works closely with other DW/BI architects on implementing the layers within the data architecture using ETL tools.
* Required to interact with all levels including the executive level, business analysts and members of the quality assurance team.
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field
* 10 years experience in Business Intelligence
* 8 years experience working with various data platforms
* Experience with Informatica
* Experience with Java technologies
* 2 years experience working with data warehouse appliance technology
* 5 years experience working with Oracle
* 5 years design and implementation experience; including multiple implementations
* Experience with end-to-end architecture, including design and implementation of multiple large-scale, high-volume database implementations using both Oracle and a data warehouse appliance
* Experience in data modeling techniques, specifically in aggregation strategies and data warehouse appliance physical modeling
* Hands-on modeling and design experience using Cognos and/or MicroStrategy
* Expert Data warehouse Appliance database knowledge and SQL skills required
* Expert in governances and best practices for large scale enterprise data warehouses to ensure global concepts are used with special attention to high performing solutions that are repeatable, extensible, and supportable
