The Product Design team at SNEI San Diego conceptualizes and designs the end-to-end user experience for Sony Entertainment Network customers and support staff. We collaborate with users and business partners to define projects and ensure that customer and business needs are met.
The Junior Product Designer will be responsible for graphics production and design support for the Product Design group. The designer will work with Producers and User Experience Designers to ensure the continuity and integrity of the user experience and reflect existing branding. SNEI San Diego is looking for a competent professional who displays good judgment and can produce engaging, appropriate, appealing, functional and effective designs that present a unified and coherent experience. Primary Responsibilities

Provide and prepare graphic design files for final output for all assigned projects.

Create production-level deliverables and user interface elements based on wireframes and rough mockups.

Update and maintain user flows, wireframes, graphical user interface files and templates.
*
Collaborate and negotiate with design, engineering, product management, and others to build great user experiences.
*
Knowledge of visual design fundamentals, information design, industry UI standards, interaction design, and usability best practices.
*
Strong knowledge of graphics production for Web design. Interface design experience preferred.
*
Self-motivated, highly organized, detail-oriented; able to work with minimal supervision.
*
Ability to manage multiple projects at various stages to ensure all deadlines are met.
*
Strong visual design portfolio.
*
Expertise using Photoshop CS5, Illustrator CS5, Acrobat Pro, Word, Powerpoint, Visio.
*
Knowledge of HTML, CSS, Dreamweaver, Flash and other emerging internet application technologies helpful.
*
Interest in emerging technologies in web, mobile, and other devices a plus.
*
Knowledge of movie, music, and video game service and software industries is a plus.
*
Sense of humor is a big plus - this is a very casual but high stress environment.

Bachelor's degree in design related studies or equivalent experience.
