Business Intelligence Engagement Manager
San Diego, CA
We are currently searching for aBusiness Intelligence Engagement Managerto join our BI team in Rancho Bernardo, CA.
This role supports the San Diego Business Intelligence Team by
serving as the primary representative/liaison between platform data consumers
and the analytics teams that enable them to make intelligent, strategic
business decisions.
Responsibilities:
* Networking
with Senior Business Stakeholders to understand business needs and how BI can positively
affect their business.Identify new
opportunities where appropriate
* Leads
business unit engagement and relationship management. Provides the business
with a primary point of contact for questions, concerns, challenges and
blockers to progress
* Collaborates
with Product Planning to appropriately align BI efforts with business vision
* Educates
business owners on the data sets available and how they can be leveraged to
increase sales/revenue for the platform business
* Engages
analysts in working sessions to actively prototype reports and provide instant
answers as a means of demonstrating the value of NP data sets
* Align
business vision with executable work by cross-collaborating with multiple business
stakeholders and decision makers on SNE BI vision, processes and roadmap.
* Engages
data consumers in exercises to effectively develop strategic roadmaps for
intelligence needs
* Host
regular events and seminars to educate business owners on the analytic services
that the SD BI team can provide
* Works
closely with the BI Workflow Coordinator to ensure that requests are being
addressed effectively and efficiently via the engagement model process
* Reports
progress, issues, etc. to SD management teams
* Bachelor’s
Degree
* 3
years of experience as a Business Analyst (Media and Entertainment, Marketing,
eCommerce and/or Financial background is strongly preferred
* Ability
to balance solid strategic thinking and flawless execution in an extremely
fast-paced environment
* Excellent
organization and project management skills, solid written and oral
communication skills
* Proactive,
quick learner, willing to take ownership of assignments and see through to
successful completion
* Motivated,
career-oriented, team player who is organized, professional and friendly
Desired Skills/Qualifications:
* Proficiency
in Cognos and/or MicroStrategy (or similar reporting tools) are strongly
* PL/SQL
experience a plus
* Visio,
Microsoft Office
